FAQs
What we want to measure is the space between your heel and the shell. If there’s more than 2 cm (just under an inch) of space behind your heel, your ski boots are too big. If you have 1.5 - 2 cm of space, your boots are the right size.
Ski boots should fit as snugly as possible, with minimal foot movement inside the boot. If your boot moves with your foot, your skis will move with the boot and, in turn, your foot. This ensures you can exert maximum control over your skis.
Your ski boots should feel snug, but not so tight that they’re painful. The right fit keeps your feet in place and allows your skis to rest neutral, or flat, on the snow when standing. If you experience heel slippage, blisters, shin bang, or find yourself curling your toes while going downhill, your ski boots are too big.
If your ski boots are new, they may feel a bit tight. The foam liners will compress and 'pack out' over time, providing a more comfortable fit as you use them.
