The Atomic Bent Chetler 120 skis are an absolute game changer for powder days and off-piste terrain. With their wide 120mm waist and generous rocker, they float effortlessly through deep snow, making every turn feel smooth and playful. On groomed runs, they’re surprisingly stable, though not as precise as narrower skis, but still fun to rip around on. What I love most is their versatility—whether you're charging hard, skiing tight tree lines, or just cruising through soft snow, they handle it all with ease. These skis are durable, stable at speed, and incredibly fun to ride—definitely worth the investment if you love skiing in fresh, deep conditions.
As a snowboarder making the switch to skiing, I was looking for something that would help me ease into it while still being capable in pow or backcountry. The blaze is perfect: it's light, playful, and stable, and it’s been an excellent ski for someone like me who’s learning the ropes. The blaze definitely convinced me to never go back
As an advanced skier trying these out on a demo (and now purchasing), these skis are sick. While I mostly stick to groomers, I took the Maven off-piste a few times on days when we had fresh snow, and I was impressed with how it handled. The tip rocker gives the ski some nice float in light powder, and I didn’t have any issues navigating through softer snow and light chop. It’s not as floaty as a wider ski (obviously), but it’s surprisingly capable for its 86mm waist when conditions aren’t too deep. I had a blast skiing through some tree lines and variable conditions, and it felt stable enough in bumps and cut-up snow.
I’ve been using the Atomic Backland 107 for a few weeks now, and I’m seriously loving its performance in backcountry conditions. I’m an advanced skier who prefers off-piste and backcountry skiing, so I wanted a ski that could handle powder, variable snow, and technical terrain without feeling too heavy. The Backland 107 definitely checks all the boxes for me
I recently picked up the Volkl Blaze 86 after demoing a few skis and I am absolutely in love! I’ve been skiing for about 7 years now, and I needed some new all-mountain skis that can handle all conditions. I live out west, so I’m on everything from groomers to light powder or snow cookies, and these skis hold up super well.
